Hey, Reader. I hope your week is going well so far. Last night, my daughter went to bed at 7:30pm. She was exhausted. We typically don't start bedtime routine until 8, but she was already bathed & in her pajamas -- ready for her story as little after 7pm While this is an extreme rarity, I had some time to myself before bed. I was torn with the question, "Chores or Self-care?" While sometimes, working through your list of household tasks can fulfill a self-care need, for me -- it rarely does. But, I felt compelled to do something. It's probably not a surprise that I chose self-care. Self-care is often more about the decision we make than the actual activities we do. When you choose to prioritize your needs to do something you know will improve your overall wellness -- that is self-care. Instead of doing yet another thing that would drain my energy, I decided to pour into me. What will that look like for you? You deserve joy, calm & to have your needs met. Take some time today to do something for you. Kindly, Brittany Tools to help you Reclaim Joy... |

But that didn’t stop the internal monologue from kicking in: “Am I making her more sick by being here?”“Should I have brought her sooner?”“I bet it’s just the flu—we need to go home and hydrate.”“What if it’s something...
Hey, Reader. Your self-care will continue to evolve as you grow through your journey. What works to curb our overwhelm today, may not work in the same way next month, but as you get better at identifying your triggers and anticipating your needs, you will create a set of "go to" self-care activities. I find a lot of comfort in taking walks outside. The fresh air, the birds chirping, the busyness of the outdoors - it all seems to make me calm. What is your go to activity for reconnecting with...
