Hello, allergies... I mean, Spring πŸ˜’

Hey, Reader

I actually love Spring. This time of year is great, because everything is in bloom. It does get a bit overwhelming at times, I'll admit, because my allergies punch hard. I can already feel them activating. What's your allergy med of choice?

Of course, I didn't jump in your inbox to talk about my allergies per se. I guess it's more about change. Our lives seem to flow in the same ways the seasons do. We go through periods of growth, then we must adjust to that growth. Once we get a handle on it, something else changes.

I am coming out of a season of intentional hibernation. I haven't been out socializing, networking, traveling, etc. I've been enjoying my mortgage, keeping my head down to develop new strategies for my business, & creating moments of peace & joy at work. I rearranged my morning routine, so I can spend more time with my husband before leaving the house in the morning.

I put a lot of energy into publishing my book. It came out in January, and I felt I deserved a little reset. If you're interested in reading, What Self Care Looks Like, you can buy it here.

How about you? Are you approaching a new season in your motherhood journey? Maybe you're approaching new seasons in your friendships. Whatever your situation, I hope you feel supported and encouraged through this time. 😊

Happy Spring 🌺

I appreciate you,

Brittany

Hey, Reader. πŸ›‘ Stop trying to be everything to everybody. Your consistent pursuit of being the solution -- or coming up with the solution -- for everyone's problems is making you overwhelmed, exhausted & resentful. You can't be everything. You're not supposed to be. Even with your kids -- you're just supposed to be their mom. You don't have to have all the answers. You don't have to be the most creative or the most entertaining. You simply need to be present, healthy & happy. Your mental load...

Hey, Reader. I used to find it very difficult not to blame myself for things, even if they seemed outside of my control. I've learned that some things, even under our best intentions, just don't go our way. And that's ok. For example, I used to believe being punctual was a badge of honor. "I’m promotable, because I’m on time". Or "I’m a good friend, because I’m always on time". In reality, I just had less things in my way of being on time.
